The Otway Rainforest Family Retreat offers the whole property for groups or larger family holidays. Set in immaculate gardens and surrounded by farms and National Park rainforest, this sprawling estate can accommodate up to fourteen people.

(Pets are usually welcome, too, though please discuss your pets with us before booking).

The Retreat is peaceful, quiet and private, set in gorgeous gardens, and surrounded by rainforest and farm paddocks. Guests are delighted with the serenity, tranquility, the fresh air and the birdlife and wildlife.

Boutique in design yet rich in detail and amenity, the sprawling Retreat offers high-end accommodation for up to fourteen people. Every room of this architect designed home has cathedral ceilings with highlight windows capturing glorious views of the immaculate gardens and ancient rainforest trees.

Four main bedrooms feature luxury queen beds with electric blankets, linen, four pillows, doonas, quilts and blankets, and storage and clothes hanging space. There's also a lovely bunk bed area with six king single bunk beds.

As well as four televisions, the estate has a home theatre setup with projector and large screen, and a high-end hifi system. There are board games, a large library, binoculars for birdwatching and a large astronomical telescope.

The three ensuite bathrooms include showers, soft Egyptian cotton bath towels, soaps and shampoos, and hair dryers.

There's a very large main kitchen and pantry, fully equipped with everything you would need, and also two further comprehensive kitchenettes. We also provide complimentary provisions such as cereals, oats, milk, eggs, jams, tea, Nespresso coffee, oils, mustards and so on. Two additional kitchens, and numerous living and dining areas, means everyone can all be together as needed, or find their own nook to read or relax.

In winter, three fireplaces (with endless free firewood) and two large whole-home heaters keep everyone snug.

There's also bicycle storage available, a Weber BBQ with full LPG tank and all BBQ accessories, and a petanque set.

The gorgeous sprawling gardens feature rolling lawns, several outdoor decks, a firepit area area, and in summer koalas usually visit.

Pets may be welcome, however as we have sheep and alpacas in neighbouring paddocks, please discuss your pets with us before making a firm booking.

The Great Otway Rainforest Family Retreat is:

One minute to the Great Otways National Park.
15 minutes to Skenes Creek, the Great Ocean Road and local beaches.
15 minutes to waterfalls and walking and hiking paths.
20 minutes to Apollo Bay and Forrest.
60 minutes to Lorne.
80 minutes to the Twelve Apostles.

The Otway Rainforest Family Retreat neighbours the National Park, and is a great base to explore the Great Ocean Road and the rainforest. Beaches, waterfalls, hiking, bicycling, surfing are all close by, and shops and restaurants are 20 minutes away in Apollo Bay.
